Abstract

In her book Miseria del derecho. Pensar de otro modo la liberación animal (The Misery of Law. Thinking Another Way About Animal Liberation), Dr. Hilda Nely Lucano Ramírez offers a historical perspective, from a Marxist perspective, on the foundations of the moral foundations of law in the West to explore the causes of the exclusion of non-human animals from it, while also highlighting authors who propose distinct approaches to law and through which we can combat the ideology that gives rise to such discrimination against other species, so that we can think differently about animal liberation.
