Reseña: Producir y resistir los residuos, Miradas transnacionales y multidisciplinarias

Abstract

Producir y Resistir los Residuos is the product and continuation of the discussion that took place in the framework of the “Encuentro Transdisciplinario Lo que queda: Historias entrelazadas sobre residuos en Costa Rica, Alemania, Argentina and Mexico”. This text, through the syntheses of previously existing or still in process works from 17 academical participants, contemplates the question of garbage, not as a natural subproduct with which it is necessary to deal with, but rather as a nodal point of the present social relationships, in whose defense different private and state sectors utilize types of speech that lead to contention, mediation and demobilization. The authors seek to challenge these speeches through a variety of approaches, which cover the usage of digital tools, literary analysis, anthropological field work and theorical discussion.
